Several Greater Sacramento Area USBC youth
bowlers competed in the Junior Gold Championships back in Indianapolis in
July. Three of the youth advanced all the way to the semi-finals. Amanda Fry
averaged over 196 over 30 games on the difficult oil patterns. Amanda
finished 17th out of 521 girls and missed going to the finals by one pin.
Samantha Lawton finished 58th against our nations best youth bowlers.
Greater Sacramento Area Youth Director Caleb Nakata finished 112th out of
982 boys and averaged over 192.
During the closing ceremonies, Amanda Fry was awarded the David Dahms
Sportsmanship award for her outstanding character reflected throughout the
competition. Congratulations to all of the youth competitors!
